Due to dangerous storms and extreme cold, we do not recommend shipping this week. A National Service Disruption has been issued, so delays and issues are expected throughout the system due to backups in both Memphis and Indy, both of which are experiencing sub-freezing daytime highs. For the safety of your animals, DO NOT SHIP! Winter weather is also expected to cause delays on supply orders, so please plan accordingly.
From the National Weather Service: Arctic air will spread across much of the central U.S. into New England this week, resulting in record-breaking cold and life-threatening wind chill temperatures. Heavy snow will move from the northern Rockies to the central Plains by early Tuesday. A swath of significant snow and ice will likely move from the central Plains to the Mid-Atlantic states Tuesday through early Thursday.
Even if you purchased insurance ahead of time, if you put your package into the system when insurance is not available, that insurance will not be valid. Most of the country will be below our Temperature Guidelines and Standards for live shipping, so do not risk it!
As always, ship smart and ship safe, and please contact us with any questions or concerns - we're here to help!
